what is orgacom
Secondary School 't Hooghe Landt College, part of the Meridiaan cluster of schools in Amersfoort commissioned Orgacom to make works of art on their premises at the Parelhoen street. Teike Asselbergs, who used to be a student of the school, and Elias Tieleman set out to expose students to the art process and involve them in the selection of an artwork from a set of options. The student body at the Parelhoen street is composed of first year and end-exam students. These to extremes create a challenging audience. Thanks to a gift from parents and funding of the Mondriaan Foundation was it possible to realize two art pieces: a jukebox in the auditorium and three dimensional letters on the square outside the school are installed. Both pieces are co-designed by ZEDZ. The jukebox consists of the word Parelhoen and hints at the street outside, whilst the piece outside is made out of letters that say: 't Hooghe Landt, the name of the school.
